The healthcare practitioners are in a unique position to prevent further violence and mitigate its effects. ICVP believes that there is a need to highlight and promote the violence prevention strategies that innovative healthcare practitioners are infusing into their work and create systemic change to solidify this role. The opportunities are great and the barriers are manageable.
